Trufo Attains C2PA Conformance
The Trufo Provenance Service is the first fully-managed C2PA signing service for companies seeking a turnkey content provenance solution.
We are excited to announce that Trufo’s C2PA signing service is now a C2PA-conformant Generator Product, and can be found on the official Conforming Products List.
The C2PA Conformance Program is the governance body for proper C2PA deployment, ensuring that products that generate C2PA manifests do so securely and interoperably. Only after passing conformance can a Generator Product request a C2PA Claim Signing Certificate from a C2PA Certificate Authority.
Trufo was selected as the C2PA Certificate Authority for this implementation.
The Trufo Provenance Service provides a full suite of functions, including:
- Trusted timestamping.
- CAWG assertions.
- SotA watermarking.
- Cloud/S3 integration.
A distributed version is in the works, that will support local processing with remote signing, so that media files never leave your system.
